Santa Barbara Free School abides by the current SB County requirements regarding masking– which at this time do not require the use of masks. Furthermore we do not require or collect vaccination records.
The Covid-19 pandemic dramatically set young people back by isolating them from their peers and community. School closures and online distance-learning only exacerbated the physical, emotional, and social challenges faced by our youth.
While many institutions are now focused on intense academic “catch-up,” further isolating students from each other, SB Free believes that what young people need the most now are opportunities to learn, play, and create together– to hold and be held by their community.
